- CONSTRUCTION OFFICE MANAGER
A growing Construction company is seeking a highly organized and motivated individual for the position of Office Manager, candidates must have reliable employment record.
Candidates must have 3 years or more experience in a construction company as office manager, working with programs including Quickbooks, BlueBeam, Isqft, Building Connect and The Blue Book. Candidate will assist management in various phases of pre-qualifying, preparing and execution of commercial bids. Candidate will work with project managers after award of project, to prepare and submit product submittals, schedule of values, site specific safety plans and other documentation required by the CM at Risk or General Contractor on new project.
Candidate must have 3 or more years of experience with Quickbooks in a construction environment. Candidate will be responsible for the input of financial documents pertaining to the day to day operation of the company including receipts, billing or invoicing of clients, and input of bills for vendors and service providers. Monthly balancing of credit card and bank statements.
Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and internet search procedures.
Key competencies include organizational skills, initiative, time management and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Preparing prequalification packages for Construction Management AtRisk Companies.
- Preparing Bid packages for projects including all supporting documentation.
- Preparing after bid reports and documentation for CMAR
- Preparing submittal packages for CMAR on newly awarded projects.
- Preparing schedule of values for new projects
- Preparing payment applications and other documentation for on going projects
- Preparing close out documentation for projects nearing completion.
- Processing receipts, vendor billing and other accounting/bookkeeping duties.
- Processing credit applications for new projects and suppliers.
- Processing paperwork for new hires, terminations, and employee changes.
- Additional duties as assigned Manage phone calls, return voice-mails and route accordingly.

CONSTRUCTION FINISHES ESTIMATOR: Small General Contractor business, is recruiting for immediate employment an estimator with a knowledge of overall construction and strong estimating skills in division 9 trades. Applicant should be able to validate strong skills working with sub-contractors in the all areas, exceptional skills and knowledge in the finish’s fields including, demolition, drywall, painting, and hard tile for projects in renovations or up-fit and commercial construction. Incumbent should have a workman’s computer skills in estimating software and Screen Take-off programs. Incumbent should also have working know of Microsoft office, including word, excel (other spreadsheet programs), and email programs to include outlook.
Candidate must provide resume with detailed experience, references and salary range desired.A minimum of 5 years of experience is required. Please address in depth the items discussed below.
Candidate must have the skills and knowledge to complete project estimates/bids with little to no supervision, ensuring all facets of required work have been addressed to provide timely, accurate and profitable bid submissions. Incumbent should be knowledge on bid procedures for both general contractor projects (to small up-fit and tenant/owner renovations) and large-scale sub-contractor finish trade jobs (i.e. hard tile, paint and acoustical).
Candidate must be knowledgeable in reading and analyzing commercial plans and drawings, determining materials and constructions items not necessarily listed with product information on specifications.
Candidate must have working knowledge of bid package building materials and product requirements to provide product submittals, samples and other documentation, as required by architectures, project managers, and owners.
Candidate shall attend pre-bid, bid meetings, and active project meetings representing the Company. Incumbent will work with other members of our team to ensure all documents required for Bid packages are present, and properly completed.
Candidate is to actively search for project bid opportunities thru public and private media for bid considered. Candidate should research projects in advance to determine requirements for pre-qualification and factors necessary by the project owner/manager to ensure proper time management is maintained.
Candidate would act as project manager on projects as designated by management. As Project Manager, candidate will review bids, and change orders based on take-off information to provide an accurate price adjustment for any proposed changes. Candidate as project manager will assist, in ensuring all project specific documentation required by the CM is acceptable, and accurate. As Project Manager the candidate will ensure on site documentation is completed in a timely manner by on site superintendent.
